Think of Melisa as the behind-the-scenes host for a staged event, performance or party. Such as an 18th, 21st or milestone birthday, engagement, anniversary, wedding, corporate function, private party, school function, retirement, community fundraiser or charity event.

As MC, Melisa has the responsibility of keeping the event’s programme running on schedule…

  • are the chef’s ready to serve the meal?

  • does the DJ have the playlist?

  • is Uncle Kev sober before toasting the happy couple?

  • is the employee of the month actually in the room to receive the award?

  • are the speakers ready to give their speech?

If necessary, Melisa can make announcements or capture the audience’s attention to keep the ceremony agenda flowing as smoothly as possible.  Her public speaking and creative writing skills together with her sense of humour and engagement of the audience will liven things up and ensure your next event is a success.

Having worked in various industries (retail, legal, medical) Melisa is comfortable surrounded by people from all walks of life and is happy to donate her time to community fundraising and charity events. Contact her to discuss your needs today.

The Process

  • Email Melisa and let her know the plans… the more information you provide about the event the better, (inc. venue, location, no. of attendees, duration of event, speakers, performers, vendors/suppliers involved, dress code etc.)

  • Sign the service agreement and pay the non-refundable, non-transferable booking fee to secure your chosen date.

  • You and Melisa meet (via zoom or in person) to discuss your ideas and expectations.

    Melisa will prepare an event run sheet for you to endorse and clarify any concerns with external suppliers e.g. venue, musicians or DJ, photographer and / or videographer etc.

  • Melisa arrives at least 30 minutes prior to meet with the organiser of the event and manage the run sheet. Or for wedding receptions she will check in with the couple and meet the guests (if required).

    When things don’t go according to plan, Melisa will be there to offer solutions and provide last minute request recommendations to the host / couple.

  • Melisa will be in contact with you to exchange feedback after the event.
